from tmr onwards i'm officially a year 3 dental student!! :O haha i'm halfway there alr omg, i cannot believe 2 years of dental sch has passed alr, haha it felt like forever i swear.
anyway, on to tackle the rest of dental sch hahaha internal medicine, surgery and oral pathology this year, plus all the other dental subjects blah blah, gao dim labwork and clinics, and get out of here asap omg.
i have SO MUCH backlog it pains me just to think abt it. D: sigh it's such a nightmare having to start the first term of a new academic yr with so much labwork alr gosh ): all carried forward from yr 2 special sem. DARN.
for RP, i have to tidy up and show up my upper and lower casts for the beading and boxing technique thingy. then drill out a tooth from my lower denture and repair. then break my upper denture into 2 halves and repair also. shit max omgggg damn heartpain to break dentures. esp after i spent shitloads of time polishing it. ))): all this has to be done during my own free time, or else cannot start seeing complete denture patients for clinics ):
for FP, omg. it's a freaking long list of chores to get over and done with. and this has to be completed at the expense of my bridge module, since most people can alr get started with bridges course at the start of the term cos they've finished last term's work alr. and omg best, we're only given 2 weeks to finish up leftover work from last term's FP, or else it would be considered that we failed the FP course last term. AND there's single crown competency retest this tues. this means the usual shitty preparations must be done before the test -- equilibrate to get tripodization contacts, and make provi shell, and putty index. ):
k so anyway, here's my to-do-list for FP. gotta really chiong this one man.
1) Monday morning 7:15 am -- occlusal equilibration and make provi shell.
2) Monday during FP lesson, show up the denture design plus survey of cast plus lab authorization sheet. ):
3) start mock prep of #45 on the cast if there's time.
4) Monday lunch -- tidy up casts for RP.
5) Monday 5-5:30 tidy up RP casts, drill out a tooth from lower denture. break upper denture.
6) Tues 7:15 am -- putty index for crown test. repair denture.
7) future FP sessions (assuming there's no lecture) complete crown prep of #45 in the mouth, wax up, mount lower model on articulator.
DAMN, there's so much work to be done!!! )))))):
i just finished my denture design for FP haha. had to redo it cos the old one had some problem. probably cos my path of insertion of the denture was a bit off, based on my surveying. haha.

| this is my new denture design. haha i'm gonna show it up tmr, hope it works omg or else have to redo, and cannot move on for FP. damn slow alr srsly. anw for this one i changed the path of insertion so the clasp has to be distally approaching. it looks weird on the design sheet if you ask me, but i'm still gonna try and show up tmr and see what she says cos i really honestly dunno where to go from here alr, every single angle of tilt i've tried for my cast does not give me proper undercuts for the clasp assembly GAHHH. |

| this is the old one! with mesially approaching clasp assembly. the problem here was that the non-retentive part of the clasp arm was too close to the occlusal table. no choice leh, the survey line was so high up )): | | | |

anyway, i'm just gonna try my best to be on task for all the courses next term. we have FP technique (bridgework), paeds technique, ortho technique, and clinical endo. and all the usual disciplines for clinics la. STRESS. k i'm gonna try my best, and try to make it out in one piece. JIAYOU ME!!! (:
